Play-together cards
A little face-to-face hello
While your baby is awake and comfortable, hold them or come close and speak gently. Pause when they turn away.
A little familiar song
Sing a short song you know, slowly. When your child makes a sound or movement, pause and respond.
Answer a little sound
Reply to your child’s sound with a similar sound. Leave a little space for their next turn.
Look at something together
While holding your child, look out of a window or around the room. Say a few words about what catches their eye.
Look up at the sky
Stop in a safe spot and notice clouds and light. Use shade on a bright day and do not look directly at the sun.
How to play
For grown-ups with children aged zero to three. Pick ideas by approximate age; this is not a developmental test.
