What is Sweets Cosmo Typing?
A 60-second typing game where a sweet is pulled from the starry sky into a UFO beam every time you press the right key. You don’t have to finish a word first: each correct key catches a sweet and adds to your score. Each time you finish a word, a sweet that matches your level is added to your collection book. There is no time-up scene and no game over. Wrong keys never take points away, and you can go right on. Nothing to install: play for free in your browser.
How to play
- Press “Start” (or the space bar) to begin the 60 seconds.
- Look at the word in the middle and type its letters. Letters you have typed turn gold.
- Each correct key catches a sweet and adds to your score. You also earn experience, and your “hunter level” goes up.
- As your level goes up, the words get a little longer, and the sweets you catch get fancier: candy → donuts → cakes → parfaits, and more.
- Type 10 correct keys in a row to start a “Galaxy Bonus”: the nebula turns rainbow-colored and your score grows twice as fast. At 20 in a row it becomes ×2.5, and at 30 it becomes ×3, and you catch more sweets too. A mistake ends the bonus, but you never lose points.
- After 60 seconds, your score and title are announced, and this round’s catches are shown again as a finale.
Complete the sweets collection book
Each time you finish a word, a sweet is added to your collection book. The higher your level, the more likely you are to meet rare sweets such as tiramisu, mille-feuille and galette des rois. The book also has sweets from Japan, like dango and taiyaki, with a short note about each one. Collect every sweet to earn the title “Sweets Master”.
Short words → longer words → two-word pairs
You start with short words like “cat” and “sun”. As your hunter level goes up, you get longer words like “rabbit” and “rainbow”, and then two-word pairs like “blue moon”, where you press the space bar between the words. You don’t have to choose a level: the practice keeps up with you as you improve. The same word does not come up twice in one game.
Score and titles
Your score grows by “1 key × hunter level”, and during a Galaxy Bonus a multiplier (×2 → ×2.5 → ×3) is added. The longer you keep going without mistakes, the faster your score grows. There is no top hunter level. Each time the gauge on the right fills up, your level goes up, the catches get bigger, and each key is worth more points. Depending on your score, you earn a title: Apprentice Sweets Hunter → Sweets Hunter → Skilled Sweets Hunter → Sweets Expert → Legendary Sweets Hunter. Your personal best is saved only on this device.
For parents
Sweets Cosmo Typing is free and needs no sign-up, with nothing to buy. Records such as the personal best, the collection book and the sound setting are saved only in your browser and are never sent to a server. Mistakes never cost points and there is no time-up scene, so even children who are just starting to type can practice while feeling what they can do. It has an on-screen keyboard, so it can also be played by tapping the screen on a tablet. From “⚙ Settings” on the title screen, you can choose lowercase or UPPERCASE letters and show or hide the on-screen keyboard to suit your child.
